Runs large and the wide is narrow

I bought these gladiator sandals because the Journee Hanni sandals that I bought last year fell apart after lots of use. I bought a half size down in size, based on the comment about them being too large, so the sandals fit the length of my foot correctly, but even having bought the "wide" size, the straps are quite tight. I don't typically buy wide shoes, so if you tend to need wide shoes, this probably would constrict your feet. I probably wouldn't buy them again, which is a shame, because I do think they look cute on.

These sandals are very stylish but for us wide feet gals, it’s not giving. I thought the wide option would have made a difference :( I would recommend if you have narrow feet
