Merrell World Legend 2 Slip-On - Men's

As a Doctor, love that they are waterproof, but they are not as cushy as the Jungle Mocs I've ordered

Love this shoe, don’t know why they always mess with it. This new gloss brown leather is not my favorite. Had several pair through the years and these shoes are my go to. Every once in a while, they change the leather and it’s not always great.

I tried two pairs of these shoes (via UPS) and, in both cases, the upper on the right shoe was noticeably looser than the left (which fit perfectly). I really liked the shoes but something seemed very off with their quality control. The exchange/ refund process was reasonably painless.

Shoes are well made, sturdy, comfortable, and attractive. What’s not to like? Well, pricier than I had expected. Primary complaint is that you (Merril) went overboard to upgrade your earlier (~6-7 years ago) rendition of these shoes (which I loved). The current shoe is much heavier, taller and actually less comfortable than the prior model (which felt rather like a sturdy, comfortable slipper even when worn on long walks) and yet still were dressy enough for casual get-togethers, etc. Nuff said.

I am a big fan of Merrell shoes having owned various Moab versions for years. I am not enjoying the World Legend 2 Moc, however, because the available size doesn’t quite work for me. I generally wear a size 12.5, so I assumed the size 12 would be too small, but the size 13 I ordered is too big. Shoe size seems to vary with manufacturer and style so maybe the 12 would have fit fine with this shoe.

The shoes are comfortable and looks decent. I wish there weren’t white stitches on the top.

These Merrill mocs are semi-dressy and comfortable with good traction.
