A winner for my Europe travel sandal
Like everyone else I was trying to find a good sandal to walk around Europe for 20k steps and ultimately these were a hit. Right off the bat these are a lot more comfortable than they look! However my other concern was if I needed another hole to latch around my ankle to make it more secure. For reference I'm 5'0 and more petite so my ankles are on the slimmer end. While I did buy a 7.5 > 7 since I'm more inbetween sizes now, I never ended up making an extra hole. I think it helped from the strap not digging into the big toe. 7.5 worked for me! I never wore these all day so max amount of steps was probably closer to 10-15k. With that said I never really had discomfort or fatigue. The shoes had great grip on the cobblestones and traction on the hills. Downhill it can push on the strap of course but that's natural. While my feet don't tend to sweat, on the one time I moisturized immediately before putting on the sandals my feet were sliding to a degree that I didn't love which goes back to the ankle strap security. Otherwise I'm thoroughly impressed with these out the box. They pack well, super light, cute with any outfit and to some degree beach approved. The only reason for my 4/5 is because the leather on the big toe has already started to show signs of wear which is ridiculous considering they were worn for two weeks.
