Strap is too wide even for my wide foot

The quality is good; they are stylish and would probably be comfortable, but the strap is gapping too much, even on my wide foot. Not sure who has feet that wide that would need such a loose strap, because my feet are pretty wide!

Very comfortable and pretty sandals. I bought it in Wide to be sure the toe area was wide enough so my toes don't hang over the edges. It is. It also makes the instep strap a bit wide, but I'm OK with that. I bought the beige with the gold colored decoration on the strap and it's very pretty. The fit is true to size.
