Great hiking or walking shoes, at a good price!

I was shocked when the shoe actually turned out to be waterproof. There is a breathable section where the shoe laces are. But, I've walked through some snow and even through some smaller puddles and the actual shoe itself kept the water out and my sock was dry. Just don't put your entire shoe underwater, as the breathable mesh area is not waterproof. The shoes have good tread on the bottoms. Just a little bit of info to know about when buying these shoes, is that I felt the shoe was a little tight when I first put them on. You need to stand up in them and walk around, because the shoe is obviously not broken in by your foot yet. I lived my shoes so much, and my mom did too, so I bought her a matching pair to mine, just in her shoe size. When she first tried the shoes on, they felt like they were a little too tight. But, my mom stood up in the shoes, walked around in them, and sat down for her morning coffee with them on. After she did that, she did feel that the shoes were the perfect fit. Like most shoes, you need to break them in. Important Note: My feet are size 10&1/2 and my mother's in a size 9. We both have very wide feet, but the shoe does accommodate the width. I doubt have to order "wides", as I don't even believe there is an option for that on these shoes. So, if you have wide feet, is suggest still giving these shoes a try!

Got these on a good sale. They are pretty good for short hikes, not sure how well they would have worked for long hikes

Great for spring hiking

I was debating between two different hiking boots and chose these because they were lighter and even though it is waterproof my feet did not feel like they were sweating inside the shoe. Also the lining is very smooth and doesn't rub.
