I may have permanent scars on my foot from this boot. I had to remove them when hiking. Thank goodness I had tennis shoes in my backpack to wear. The most uncomfortable boot I have ever worn in my life and that includes military combat boots. I do not recommend for those with thin ankles. I think they may have been designed for people with wider ankles.

My work on my feet 5 days and week and can easily log 15-20K steps and need comfortable boots to protect my feet. These are perfect! I’m normally a 9 in women’s but had to go up to 9.5.

So all in all I really liked these shoes. The fit was a little snug so I went up half a size. I have wide feet. They did what they needed to do, keep my feet dry and comfortable, for the most part. There was truly only one area I didn’t care for was how tall/short the part around my ankles were. The right foot was ok but the left kept rubbing pretty badly I had to untie the upper half. Wore for 2 days and that’s pretty much my only complaint.
