Stiff and uncomfortable

I don't understand how other reviewers could possibly say that these shoes are comfortable. The material is so stiff and hard that my feet hurt just trying them on. I fear that when i walk in them, the front part of the material will dig into the top of my foot. Better have some bandages handy. I have several other, similar looking shoes and the material is soft and flexible. Not so with these shoes. I like that they're true to size, have an enclosed toe, and they look okay with jeans... but unless I'm going somewhere where I don't have to walk, I may just return them.
