New material doesn't fit

I've had these shoes in the suede and love them. I was excited to get a new pair, but they were only available in this canvas sort of material. Unfortunately, it's quite stiff and I couldn't get the front part of my foot into the shoe (I have bunions but they're not huge or anything). So sad I can't get another pair of these shoes I've loved!

I have been eyeing this style for a while and finally bought them and I love them!! They are classy and can dress up or down. The material is a canvas and provide a very sleek look. Comfortable and true to size. I wore them with jeans but could wear them with a dress too.
