After my leather platform sandals from Europe finally gave in after a few years, I searched long and hard for something comparable. These were the closest I could find and pricier than the ones I had before and honestly they didn’t quite match up to expectations. I’ll start with the positives. They look pretty good and that they are relatively comfortable. I wore them for miles the other day and they mostly stood up the test. I do have to apply blister balm before wearing. The first wear caused some damage as the buckle strap has some uneveness to it. This could have been fixed with some better construction. Additionally, the buckle is very challenging to close once the initial strap is through. It has little give once on the foot and is super close and difficult to pull through — especially with the flat shape it has on one end. I had to have some help the first few wears to get it through. This could have also been avoided with creative solutions and testing. Overall, they’re ok and maybe the best in this particular market and price point. My 3 star rating is a bit closer to 3.5 but I wrote this review and I hope to see even better products from Sorel soon. The potential and eye for design + comfort is there.

I love these sandals! They were immediately comfortable when I put them on, and I love that there’s padding on the inner portion of the ankle strap. I am always either a 8 or 8.5 and the 8 fit perfectly

One of three pairs of shoes I brought to travel Europe for 2 months and am so glad I did! Super comfortable even after 5+ miles daily on uneven cobblestone streets, and versatile enough to wear in basically any context. I have received so many compliments. First few wears yielded some blisters on my heel from the strap, but that hasn’t been a problem since. One of my favorite pairs of shoes I’ve ever bought!!

I bought these for a trip to Italy and they have been phenomenal! We’ve been walking at least 6 miles a day and I’ve had no blisters and my feet feel fine. They do fairly well on cobblestone, but I’d recommend breaking them in a bit to soften up the strap. The traction is also pretty good, and I’ve only been slightly concerned on smooth old stone stairs when it’s raining. I wouldn’t hike in them, but they are otherwise a great activity shoe. The buckle gets easier to use after 5ish wears.

These lovely sandals are so pretty and comfortable. I usually wear a 10 on Sorel tennis shoes and boots, but my last two pair of sandals I have sized down to 9.5, but only in platform sandals.
