Why, Saucony?
Saucony Ride has been my go-to running shoe for years, but unfortunately, they changed the fit on the Ride 17 in a way that doesn’t work for me. The 17 is considerably wider than past years, making it hard to lace the shoe up snug and causing my heel to slip when running—even when using the heel-lock lacing method. I wish I had fully realized this before wearing them outside to run, essentially making them un-returnable. Disappointing. Saucony Ride used to be a great everyday training shoe for those of us with narrower feet.

Lightweight shoe with slight cushioning
Shoe runs true to size. Very lightweight but didn't feel the full cushion that I was expecting. Feet felt "close to the ground" and not on a layer of thick padding. Depending on your run style, this may be good or bad. For casual running/walking, they work fine, but longer distances, I prefer more cushion.

I bought this as a gift. I was told they are comfortable for walking around in all day. They also look good. Used for running and walking.

Comfortable and Fits Custom Inserts
Was looking for a sturdy everyday sneaker that could fit a custom insert, but was fashionable and comfortable. It was harder than it should have been to find that, but these are great. Had them for a couple weeks and so far it seems like they were worth the price. The only small possible downside is the material used for the sides of the base. It seems like that could wear down with time or get scuffed easily, but we shall see.
