Tight ankle?

Look great, but sadly my son found them uncomfortable. They look pretty wide (which is what we like), but the ankle was digging into him :( Sadly had to return. Was looking for a second sneaker to have, so I'll buy him another color in the IsoFly style, which we already like and is super comfy.
