Returned - concept is sadly half-baked

In theory, this boot is almost perfect. Beautiful leather, a nice tall shaft height, perfect toe box shape, perfect not-too-short, not-too-tall heel height. But the there are two terrible decision decisions that take an almost-perfect boot concept and make it a huge, huge waste of raw materials: 1) the shaft is just way too wide (on the regular calf version; I can't speak to the wide calf) and 2) the boot bunches up around the ankle due to the manufacturer's decision to only install a zipper 1/3 of the way up the boot. Both elements make the boot look very sloppy. Having a full-length zipper would allow for a much tighter fit around the ankle and reducing the width of the calf opening would also help make for a much more elegant fit.

Excellent boot!

Was looking for a simple brown suede boot and this is perfect. The color is more on the rust brown side but looks good with everything. Love the simplicity and heel height is perfect! Very comfortable! I ordered it in black leather too.

Lovely, but…

As a petite, slim woman who happens to have wide feet, I was excited to get these wide-width regular-calf boots, and they are beautiful, especially the brown suede, but the shaft is too long and the calf is too wide for my legs. Kills me because they are indeed wide enough in the footbed. They also bunched a little around my ankles, which I could get past if they fit my legs. If only I were taller they would work for me.

Massic Calfs

Honestly I have large calves, not to the point that I need wide calf but I have always had boots fit snug on my calves and these are absolutely massive - note like a cute inch too big, like at least 2.5 inches too big. Still deciding if I want to keep them purely for the fact that I need boots but if your a person who likes a pre snug fit around the calf with their boots DO NOT GET THESE Also, the seem right in the front makes them look every cheap
