Men's Targhee IV Wide Waterproof Hiking Shoe | Sea Turtle/Roasted Pecan Third pair in 6 years. I get about 2 years per pair even with heavy daily use. Shows how well they hold up to being used. Comfortable throughout. Being diabetic and looking for quality footwear; to protect my feet; this one certainly rises above all others. Got to try them to understand what I mean.

I like the Targhee IV and I’ve bought three pairs this winter (one as a gift). They grip really well on ice, and they are generally comfortable. The problem I have is that, when I bought my first pair, the Keen website said that these shoes run large and that I should buy a pair that is half a size smaller than usual. I followed the Keen guidance and it turned out to be completely false. The first pair is too small and also not really wide at all. Unfortunately, I waited too long to seek an exchange so I’m stuck with this small, tight pair of shoes. I think Keen should have made an exception on exchanges because their website misled me in my selection. (Note: the website has since been updated and it now says these run true to size. ) I’ve always been a Keen person and this probably won’t change that, but it is disappointing and a waste of my money. My advice to you is to ignore the size suggestions on the Keen website and just buy the size that you normally would. It’s also disappointing that Keen wide shoes are not actually wide like they used to be. Maybe they have new suppliers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don’t think their as wide as advertised. . . I have bunions and love Keens for the wide toe box. I have a pair of Austins and they are wonderful. Well, always wanted the Targhees and bought the wide model. Well, not near as wide as the Austins. Other than that, they are wonderful and I think I’m slowly breaking them in!

Fit well with my custom insoles. Wide toe box allows plenty of space for my toes. Keeps feet dry and warm in sub zero temps.

Very comfortable shoes! I had many Keens over the years and every time outstanding performance. I won’t buy any other shoe. Keen are The Best! Thank You!
