Chaco Z1 Classic Sandal

The sandal is comfortable from day one and very sturdy. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the excessively long strap which hangs down to the ground and gets dirty and is even a trip hazard. Like with my previous pair, I’ve ended up cutting it shorter and sewing the ends myself.

Love the pebble design. A little long for size 7. feels a bit floppy sometime. Maybe sole will break in over time, but my older ones did not feel like this.

Bravo Chacos - the clever and functional straps exceeded expectations! The sandals have cradling arch support and are fashionable to boot. I've wornn them in the lakes to protect against sharp-edged zebra mussels.Yay all around!

Took a few days to get used to them, but now these are amazing. I have plantar fasciitis and it's been tough to find shoes that give me the support I need. I like how versatile they are, I got them in multiple colors!

Overall, I like the fit of these. I have a high arch and found that these fit very comfortably around it. I wore these on my trip to Europe where I was walking 7-10 miles a day and would wear them again. I like that when they got wet, they were quick to dry. My only grievance is that there is a "learning" curve to these shoes that I had to Google to understand. If this is your first pair of chacos, do not ever tighten the strap. Don't do it. Keep the buckle loose, it will prevent rubbing on certain areas. I earned a solid 6 blisters until I learned of this on a reddit thread. I wouldn't recommend these if you have a fat/flat foot.

Bought these 2 years ago and I am so disappointed in the quality. The foot bed is actually wearing out where my foot touches it and the sole is wearing flat. This is the least I've ever worn a pair of Chacos and hands down the worst they've ever been. I've bought Chacos before and they lasted for ages through way more wear and tear! I've worn Chacos in Central and Southeast Asia, in deserts, jungles, beaches and I never had the actual foot bed start wearing off. The sole isn't Vibram anymore, either. The straps are fine, so the "repairable" guarantee is pointless. I won't be buying another pair.

Comfortable, attractive, and soft colors go with just about everything. I’m a longtime Chacos customer and these are one of my favorites.
