Chaco Lowdown Flip Flop

I just received my new sandals (I was so excited to get them) but unfortunately, I have to return them. They are so cute, I love them, but I pulled the strap all the way because I have narrow feet. I'm afraid they will stretch and I won't be able to tighten them anymore.

I was looking for a slightly elevated flip flop look with Chacos signature performance. The leather is dull. The straps are high on my feet. These are okay. I was going to return them but needed shoes and they were in my car.

I've worn Chaco flips for years, and I work as a river guide. Used to be that a pair would last at least a year, usually longer. In recent years, the toe loop wears out and snaps in 3 or 4 weeks. The last pair I bought was the guide pro flip flop. The toe loop snapped in two 5 day river trips. 10 days on the river. So I bought the leather ones this time hoping that would solve it. They are very slippery, the footbed offers no traction. But worst of all the straps are already pulling out. I JUST bought them and I already know they are going to be replaced very soon. The strap has pulled up so much that they feel like a full size up. I'm so disappointed. Chaco has gone so downhill.

Almost feels like the toe post is set too far back. I ordered my normal Chaco size and my heels were hanging off the back. Friend that’s a size smaller tried them on and it was the same way.
