Strap issue

Comfortable shoes. Very pretty. My only complaint is I ordered a size 40 (9.5) my usuaal size and the length is right but the ankle strap is too long.
For reference I have average ankles. I can get enough velcro to meet and stay at tightest point but it then leaves a few inches of strap end sticking out the sides. Bueno: larger sizes in Med. width does not mean larger ankles. Sigh because they are very nice.

The leather is so soft and comfortable! I got the green, and it is a nice neutral. The shoes are light and perfect for warm weather. I wish the strap wasn’t Velcro, and I worry about how they will hold up. It seems like the upper could rip easily. Fingers crossed that doesn’t happen.
