Brooks Defyance Max Running Shoe - Men's

I got these for my husband for work and he loves them!! He’s a nurse who stands on his feet for 12 hours a day and his feet don’t even hurt at the end! We are both huge fans of our brooks and will continue to buy their shoes!

Disclaimer: I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. First off, I do not consider myself a runner. I received these with the sole purpose of using them on a daily basis as a nurse. I am constantly on my feet, so I am always on the lookout for comfortable shoes that don’t hurt my feet. I have high arches and have dealt with plantar fasciitis in the past…not a pleasant experience. I do have custom orthotics that are in other shoes. I decided to try these out for one month without any inserts and let me tell you, I have not had any pain with my feet. I have been looking into getting a second pair to use outside of work because of how comfortable they are and because of how much I have like them. The soles seem to wear slowly, which is great. I was replacing shoes about every 4-6 months due to them wearing out. I am a big guy, 6’3” and 240 lbs. After one month of wearing exclusively at work, they still feel amazing on my feet! The break in time was almost nonexistent. My only complaint is that I like shoes that have something on the back to help with pulling the shoe up over my heel and these do not have anything to grab onto. This is the only reason I gave it 4-stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are awesome! They fit perfect, snug fit but open toe box. I have worn them for over a month now. I’m on my feet all day every day and I am never fatigued. Big improvement from my last pair of work sneakers from a different brand. At work I’m often in weird or strenuous positions. They flex with me and provide tons of support. The style grew on me quite a bit. I got white and I have to say I’m not really in love with white. The white mesh fabric easily shows any scuffs but I bet that is not a problem if you go with the black. I demand a lot out of my shoes at work. They are scuffed, rubbed and hit often and for the lightweight mesh on top I thought they would fray easily but they have shown no signs of wear at all. I love these shoes and will continue to wear them, my only thing is the color mixed with that mesh material makes em scuff kind of easy. Overall great shoe for work or play! I am happy with this shoe and think it does a great job at what it was likely intended for (casual use). I used it mostly for casual wear as well as some easier runs and it was good for both. I wouldn’t use this shoe as a heavy mileage daily trainer but overall it’s comfortable and fit my foot well. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

So far the Defyance Max has been great. Initially the arch felt a little off and was unsure about the shoe. After a short break in time they have fit like a glove. I have been wearing them during my shifts at the hospital and running with them. I am able to wear them during shift then easily go for a run in them after work. They are responsive, agile, and I feel like I am gliding when running. Tow box is fairly roomy. Only complaint I have is that they are squeaky when I’m walking down the hallway at work. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brooks Defyance Max running shoes are perfect for the road and treadmill! I found them to be super comfy and incredibly light right out of the box. I haven’t put enough miles on them to test long term durability, but I’m very pleased with their performance so far. I even used them for weights/cardio in the gym and they worked very well. I am used to a zero drop trail running shoe, and these are noticeably not zero drop, just an FYI.
