Beautiful boots but

I love the look of these boots but I had to return them. I ordered a size 9 1/2 and that's my usual size. But the boots were a bit narrow in the toe area (probably would have stretch to fit but it made me nervous because of the cost of boots.) and wide and loose around the ankle area and slip up and down when I walked. That wouldn't shrink. I am in my 60's with some feet problems so the boots felt a litte stiff for me.
