Great idea, poor execution

I LOVED the looks of these clogs! And the color! Sadly, they arrived today, and I am definitely returning them. There is a STRONG chemical smell from the shoes, and the synthetic materials in both the upper and the bottom of the shoe are just horribly cheap. The "faux suede" upper arrived horribly wrinkled on each shoe, and I am unsure if it would smooth out. Also, the material, albeit comfortable, is more sock-like than leather-like -- your toe mounds are visible, for example. The "faux wood" bottom is cheap, light weight plastic. Fantastic design, horrible execution. And these shoes - with these materials and this construction - have no business being $68.99!
