I signed up for DSW VIP in a store. How do I set up my DSW VIP account online?

It’s easy to set up your DSW VIP account at dsw.com (and earn points on all your online purchases!).

  1. Head to the DSW VIP page, and choose, "Sign Up."
  2. Enter the email you used in store to sign up.
  3. Enter the temporary password provided to you in your welcome email. You will then be able to change your password.

You can use this same log in information to sign in to the DSW app.

Why don't I receive DSW VIP points when I buy a DSW Gift Card?

When you buy a DSW Gift Card or eGift Card, you are converting your money into "store cash" for someone else to spend. If the recipient of the gift is a DSW VIP member, that person will earn points when redeeming the Gift Card.

Gift Cards and e-Gift Cards are the only items at DSW that do not earn DSW VIP points when purchased.

How does the DSW VIP program work?

DSW VIP is a free multi-tier loyalty program that allows members to earn points with every purchase. Get enough points, and you'll receive a DSW Reward on your next purchase in stores or online.

Plus, you’ll get free shipping for online purchases, something special for your birthday, points for donating shoes, and a bunch of perks (that just keep getting better).

Unredeemed rewards points expire 24 months after they are earned.

Where can I find my DSW VIP member number?

You can find your DSW VIP member number:

  • In your account on dsw.com or the DSW app
  • In the welcome email you received after signing up for DSW VIP
  • On a recent purchase receipt
  • On the DSW VIP page by selecting "Forgot it?" next to the DSW VIP member number field and entering your first name, last name, email address, phone, and address.

If you are unable to locate your number, call shoephoria! Center at 866.DSW.SHOES, or visit a store and have an associate look up your account at the register.

How do I earn a Reward?

DSW VIP members get a Reward every time they reach 100 points.

Points are earned by purchasing items at DSW stores using your DSW VIP member number or on dsw.com by logging in to your DSW VIP account.

DSW VIP Club and Gold members receive 1 point for every $1 spent in DSW store or on dsw.com. DSW VIP Elite members earn 2 points for every $1 spent in DSW stores or on dsw.com.

Your Reward will be credited to your account 24–48 hours following your purchase. You can find your available Rewards any time by logging in to your account on dsw.com or the DSW app. If you’ve signed up to receive emails or text notifications from DSW, we will send you an email or text when you have a Reward available.

How do I redeem a Reward?

In DSW stores:
Rewards can be redeemed in our stores by providing a store associate with your DSW VIP member number.

On dsw.com:
Rewards can be redeemed on dsw.com by logging in to your DSW VIP account and applying your available Reward(s) during checkout.

On the DSW app:
Rewards can be redeemed on the DSW app by logging in to your DSW VIP account and applying your available Reward(s) during checkout.

What do I do if I lost my Reward?

You can find available Rewards in your account on dsw.com or the DSW app.

Or you can provide your DSW VIP member number to an associate in stores and any available Rewards can be applied during checkout. (You don’t need the physical copy.)

When I exchange or return my purchase, do I get my Reward back?

If you are exchanging the item the same day that your Reward was applied, it is still valid for the item you're exchanging it for.

Points will be credited back to your DSW VIP account for all returns. If returning multiple items, the point value associated with each item will be credited separately to your account. You will see the points in your DSW VIP account within 1-7 business days.

I have more than one account. Can they be combined?

Absolutely. Just call shoephoria! Center at 866.DSW.SHOES.

How do I cancel my DSW VIP account?

You can contact shoephoria! Center at 866.DSW.SHOES to unsubscribe from our DSW VIP program.

Can I choose my Reward amount?

You can choose the denomination in which you receive your Rewards. Your default will be automatically set to receive "Quick" Rewards, and you will get a $5 Reward once you reach 100 points (or spend $100 dollars).

However, if you prefer to save up for bigger Rewards, you can choose "Save" to receive a $10 Reward once you reach 200 points (or spend $200) or "Goals" to receive a $20 Reward once you reach 400 points (or spend $400).

Rewards will be given at the highest denomination if a larger amount is spent in one order. For example, if you spend $200, but are set to receive $5 Rewards, you will receive one $10 Reward. Otherwise, you will receive $5 every time you reach 100 points (or spend $100).

You can update your settings at any time. Please allow up to one week for changes to be applied.

What are my shipping benefits as a DSW VIP member?

DSW VIP members receive additional shipping and return benefits. And remember, it’s totally FREE to join.

Club and Gold levels:
Free shipping on anything, with no minimum spend .

Elite level:
Free express shipping on anything, with no minimum spend .

How can I keep track of other people I shop for?

You can create up to 5 profiles for friends and family to keep track of their shoe size, birthdays, and more.

You can add, change, or edit profiles at any time.

How do I use my extra points days?

DSW VIP Gold members can choose two days per calendar year to receive double points (2 points for every $1 spent) in stores and online. DSW VIP Elite members can choose one day per calendar year to receive triple points (3 points for every $1 spent) in stores and online.

Double points days cannot be combined or used on the same day. Your points days will renew annually, as long as you requalify for either the DSW VIP Gold or Elite level.

What are 2X and 3X points days?

DSW VIP Gold members can choose two days per calendar year to receive double points (2 points for every $1 spent) in stores and online valid for all transactions on selected day . DSW VIP Elite members can choose one day per calendar year to receive triple points (3 points for every $1 spent) in stores and online.

Double points days cannot be combined or used on the same day. Your points days will renew annually, as long as you requalify for either the DSW VIP Gold or Elite level.

If you reached the Elite level from being Gold, you will still be able to use any remaining 2X points days until they expire. If you became Elite right away and skip the other levels, you will still get two 2X points days and can find them at dsw.com or the DSW app. Double and triple points days cannot be combined.

How do I send birthday gifts to my friends?

DSW VIP Gold and Elite members can send $5 off to two friends per calendar year to celebrate their birthdays. You can choose to send gifts to existing DSW VIP members or non-members, as long as you choose upcoming dates in the current calendar year. Must enter a valid email address for the recipient to receive the offer. Your birthday gifts will renew annually, as long as you requalify for either the DSW VIP Gold or Elite level.

You will receive a confirmation email on the day the gift is sent to your friend. You can cancel or change up to 24 hours before the date the gift will be sent.

These gifts cannot be used for yourself (but don’t worry, you get a birthday gift from us, too!).

How do I donate shoes?

Participate in our Shoe It Forward program by donating new or gently used shoes to any DSW store. All you have to do is bring your shoes to any DSW store and drop them in the Shoe It Forward box.

Plus, you’ll get 50 points for every donation made. To receive your points, make sure you let a store associate know you are donating and provide them your DSW VIP member number. Points are given per donation, not per pair donated. Points can only be awarded once per day, but are unlimited per year.

Donations will be given to Soles 4 Souls, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing shoes and clothing to underserved families and individuals in your community and around the world. Find out more about Soles 4 Souls .

How do I donate my Rewards?

If you would prefer to donate your Reward instead of using it, simple click the “Donate Reward” button under the Reward on dsw.com or the DSW app.

Rewards cannot be donated after a Reward has expired. Learn more about Reward donations .

As of September 2018, DSW VIP Rewards Members may choose to donate their unexpired Rewards. To donate, simply follow the instructions on your profile page at dsw.com. Because Rewards are not redeemable for cash, donations are not tax deductible by the VIP Member and will be fulfilled by DSW. Donations will be calculated as 50% of the face value of the donated Reward.
