I bought the silver pair of Riggs; boots; surprisingly I found them to be fabulous! I love that its leather and not man made materials. Although they are true to size in length, the width can be a bit narrow for a wide foot. In addition, if your arch is high this boot may present a problem in that area, too. I did have to give lots of effort to get them on, but once on they were comfortable enough to begin the stretching process. I'm glad that I have plenty of time to wear them around the house before it's time to wear thick socks. The leather stretches easily, but does not look out of shape. The boots sit midway on my calf and for reference I am 5'-5. 1/2" with very firm and meaty calves. I'm excited to wear these with my navy peacoat with silver buttons.

Ordered wide calf. Thought that it would run big but shoe part/ankle fits true to size . I like to wear a little thicker sock. Returned for 1/2 size larger. Love the little extra room in the wide calf.

These fit ture to size. I have collect these boots in all the colors. I where 71/2 -8.
Some fit good in 8 the patch color they run small.
