Nice, comfortable shoe with small issue

I bought these loafer shoes to wear with jeans or black pants this winter. I like them overall. They are true to sketchers size, softness and flexibility. My only issue is the heel width for a medium is a little wide. I don't think I've ever had this problem with Sketchers. I had some heel pads so I put those in to fill the space and now they are wearable. Everything else was great so I kept them.
