Arch in the wrong place

Purchased these shoes after trying on a pair of a different style of Ryka in stores. I had a pair of influencer shoes for last summer and though they broke down and fell apart, I loved them. However, these shoes have the arch for your foot placed wrong. The arch of the shoe hits toward the front of my feet and causes severe pain for me to even walk a couple steps in them when I tried them home inside my bedroom. After spending so much money on these shoes, I am really disappointed and I am scared to try the other styles of tennis shoes not knowing if they will have the same issue. I love the color and style of these shoes. I wish I could wear them.

Just What I Wanted!

I have been wearing the Devotion X for a few years now, but, as shoes with cushiony midsoles don't maintain support for very long, and the turnover rate is high, I have been looking for a shoe that is, at least, more environmentally friendly. While the eco creds on this shoe are not high, they are, at least, a step in the right direction. They seem to fit and perform just as well as the Devotion X, so I'm happy with them. I hope that Ryka will continue to develop shoes that use recycled materials, will last longer, or, better yet, can be part of a closed-loop system (reclaimed by Ryka or compostable). Ultimately, these shoes are wide enough for my toes (I ordered a wide width) and provide the cushioning and stability I need to abate my hip arthritis symptoms, while also helping me feel a bit better, environmentally, about my purchase.

I bought these recently and I absolutely love them! I’ve been having some issues with my feet. Generally I can’t wait to get my shoes off as soon as possible. With these Rykas I’ve actually kept them on longer than I have to because they are so comfortable. My only complaint is they don’t come in other colors - even though I love the looks of the ones I have!
