Second time's the charm

First pair had something wrong with them, they were funny to walk in, the tongue on the right shoe wouldn't straighten out and the right rubbed against my ankle. I really liked the look so decided to exchange in hopes the next pair would not have the same issue and they do not! I love the new pair and would recommend.

The perfect travel shoe, but now it squeaks

I bought these to wear on a trip to Japan for the 20k+ per day steps for two weeks. These held up beautifully and were very comfortable. I was so happy with these shoes for so long. But just recently (about 8 months and a lot of miles later) i noticed they started to squeak significantly. I came to the comments to see if others had this issue and I noticed at least one other person mention it. It's not so bad on carpet but now everyone in the lab knows I'm walking through the building because of the significant squeak on tile or hardwood surfaces. It makes me feel a bit self conscious. I'm torn because I loved how this shoe kept me comfortable with all the walking but not sure if I would get another pair with the wear time being so quick. Everything else about the shoe is still in great condition.
