    Very Comfortable - Bad Squeak

I bought these shoes twice because I loved them. After my first pair had a really bad squeak I figured it was time to change them but then when I got my new pair within a month the same horrible squeak came back. I sound like Spongebob from that one episode with the squeaky shoes, if you listen closely enough you'll hear my shoes asking you what would you like to order.

I still have the original Nike Air Monarch from 2009 UPC91209905791 and I am very happy and satisfied with this durable product. So with this new Nike Air Monarch IV UPC198739543523 is much improvements; lightweight very comfortable with the black and color is awesome! I love it! and very happy with it like my older Nike Air Monarch. In the near future I will buy again another Nike Air Monarch and I highly recommend it to others!

This shoe is not a 4e wide. My little toe and top of foot overhangs the actual footbed. Not comfortable. It also came with glue on the side holding it together. Not good.

Happy to say that I resolved the squeaky shoe problem! The problem is the inner sole. When the sole is glued into place, they use multiple strips of glue when walking the area without glue is squeaking. I removed the sole, takes a little effort. Once the sole is removed I then put some powder inside the shoe, place the sole back in, do not glue it, the squeak is gone!

not comfortable and it squeaks. I noticed this problem with another pair that sent back. I will return them too. Plus, I feel as if it has springs in the heel.

Nike Air Monarch Wide Sizes Haven’t Evolved, Why?

Hi Nike Team, I wanted to share some direct feedback regarding the Air Monarch line. Why is it that only the same few older Monarch models are consistently available in wide sizes, while newer versions or updates to the line are not? It feels like customers who need wide sizing are stuck with the same three options year after year, with no access to anything updated. I don’t understand why wide-fit customers are effectively limited to legacy versions of the Monarch, while standard-width customers get newer iterations and improvements. Is there a reason newer Monarch releases aren’t being offered in wide sizes? I’d really like to continue buying this line, but it’s frustrating to have no updated options available.

How come Nike doesn’t review the reviews? I’ve been buying these for over a decade and every pair eventually starts to squeak, let me reiterate, EVERY PAIR, it can be the right or the left, sometimes both. It doesn’t matter if you keep them dry or try the baby powder trick, after a couple of weeks they ALWAYS squeak. Why has Nike not fixed this issue? I saw these same reviews a decade ago??? It seems to me that Nike doesn’t care about the squeaking because nothing has been done to fix it. Why??? I buy this style for the fit (EEE wide) and comfort, nice white leather shoe for daily wear at a reasonable price but when I see 67 out of 760 reviews mention the squeak you’d think someone would notice and maybe attempt to fix it. Maybe a courtesy pair for an avid fan of this shoe for over decade, probably not because I feel nobody at Nike is reading these reviews. Looking at other brands at this point.
