Shoes were comfortable out of the box. Taking my Moab’s on a 12 day Alaska journey. They will get quite a workout on varied terrain. Absolutely no break in period required.

Well built and comfortable. I did discover that in my normal size with medium width I could not wear medium thickness wool socks. My feet got very uncomfortable and sore up around the front section of my foot. They are fine with normal and light weight woo socks.

These have great traction, and it is very noticable on steep marbly granite, so they also perform well on sand and hard surfaces as well as rocks and boulders. The vibram gum soles are durable and wear well. I was wondering though if the black vibram soles are a little higher durometer reading, because they would wear longer on asphalt, (sometimes I walk an streets to the trails).
Overall they hold up well, even the outer appearance looks good and a damp cloth cleans them up well for church on Sunday.
