    My first pair of Merrell shoes. I have been wanted a pair for a long time. I have tried many different brands of shoes as I am an endurance walker. I try to walk 50 miles a week. My “go to” brand seemed to have changed. The toe box got narrower while the shoes got more expensive. These did not disappoint. They were true to size and comfortable right out of the box. I hate to “break in” shoes because of the risk of blisters. I wore these on the trail and they felt feather light. The toe box is ample on the wide width and the heel counter keeps the heel from slipping out, especially after locking the laces. After my first 11 mile walk I looked at the soles and they looked good. No abrasion. They seem to be durable. I won’t know for a couple of months, though. So far, I am very pleased.
