Merrill Soles Adjust to Perfect Fit

I absolutely love these shoes! I walk and live in the country on very steep terrain. This is where Merrill stands apart, the stability and fit of these shoes are better than any brand I’ve tried. The soles will adjust to a perfect fit so don’t be deceived if they feel firm when you first put them on. The first wear feels comfortable, very firm and a bit generic. In two weeks they will fit like a glove. Every part of this shoe will surround your foot with solid comfortable support. When on steep terrain the sides will not roll and your foot will not slide around in the footbed. Feet won’t shift into the toe box and jam toes. Just got back from the Great Smokey’s, so glad I had these with me. Absolutely an incredible shoe.

Hiking can be very challenging and even painful if you’re not wearing the right shoes. These are the right shoes. They also look great and not chunky.

Bought these on a whim, never hiked much before. They were an amazing price ($47), extremely comfortable, and perfect for hiking Acadia!! I have super arched semi-wide feet and I didn’t have any pain at all on my trip. I’m usually a size 7-7.5 in most shoes but I ordered an 8 to accommodate for stepping downwards and wearing thick hiking socks. Worked out perfect. Super grippy and comfy. 10/10 would recommend, no need to spend $150+ on hiking shoes when these bad boys exist.

The Best Hiking shoes Ever!!

I used these for a recent trip to Glacier National Park and the Canadian Rockies. I have plantar fascitis and no matter the kind of shoes I wear I usually end up with painful feet/legs. But not with this one. There is no pain!! The arch support is fantastic. The grip is amazing, no slipping and sliding on rough roads. Love!!

These hiking shoes are very wide in the front. I ordered a medium and wore thick socks but there is still too much room, forcing my toes to bend with every step. Next time I would opt for a more structured hiking shoes.
