minor defect in insert

Great shoe structure and fit, but the R shoe insert had a defect under the lateral ball of my foot so I changed it out with some memory foam inserts from a previous pair of shoes.

A comfortable, durable, all-purpose terrain shoe

This are the perfect upgrade to the two pairs of Merrell casual runners I've been happy with for a few years. It has a roomy toe box, nicely padded tongue, and surprisingly good arch support, so no need to buy those separately. The construction is supportive and durable, the sole is grippy, and the styling isn't garish. It's an ideal all-arounder which just happens to be a hiking shoe. Excellent!

My husband likes these shoes because they are good solid shoes. They are good even for out in the rain since they have some waterproofing on them. Comfortable OK
