Soles are trash. They crack and wear down fast.
I bought my daughter these boots. After TWO WEEKS of wearing them to school, both of the soles cracked (identical to the photos someone else posted!), we managed to swap them for a new pair of the SAME boot, thinking maybe this one was defective. Again, within two weeks, the soles cracked again, but we were not allowed to exchange them. Not only were the soles cracked, but the rubber is so soft that the heels were already wearing down. This is two weeks of walking to and wearing them in school! I tried to repair the soles with contact cement and rubber. That saved the soles, but the rubber split where heel meets sole. The uppers certain LOOK good, and the uppers have lasted. She's had them for 7 months now with my repaired sole, but the soles are complete trash. I will NEVER buy Steve Madden footwear ever again. You shouldn't have to self repair shoes after two weeks of use. Garbage. Do not recommend, ever.

Cracked soles within 6 Months of casual wear
I have had these for 6 months and they already have a full fault-line crack in the rubber sole, same spot, both feet near the ball of the foot. Completely cracked and I'm sure will fall off soon. These are only worn once or twice a week at a desk job. Waste of money

Poorly made
Unfortunately, I had the same experience as some others. I had these shoes for a few months and then the sole split on both shoes. I didn’t mind that, but eventually the soles completely fell off. They aren’t glued to the shoe properly at all. It was really disappointing because the boots were very comfortable otherwise and seemed very versatile.

Cheap and will be break in a few months
They are not bad and pretty comfy but i bought them 8/23 they broke and split on the bottom in Jan. I bought them again in 1/23 and 4/6 they broke and split in the same exact. Unfortunately seem to be cheap and don't last long which unfortunate since they are pretty good for everything. I now see that they are now $40 on DSW so that tells me everything I need to know will not be buying them again.

Broken sole after few months of wear
I repurchased these boots in October, and the rubber sole broke in a straight line. I am not sure is this is an issue with quality control, but I am very disappointed that I spent my money on a pair of boots that broke so quickly. My previous pair of madden girl boots lasted me at least 2 years.

a classy looking combat boot
Bought these for my daughter in her usual size. They were a bit tight so we exchanged them for a half size up. She loves the look - combat boot without being too chunky looking or heavy.

Squeaky vinyl
The vinyl leather squeaks when I walk. So disappointing-they look great and are comfortable but the squeaking is so bad I can’t wear them.

LOVE!
I love these boots! They I've worn them 3-4 times since I got them and they are comfortable and feel sturdy and flexible at the same time. They are easy to slip on and off with the side zipper. I love the way they look with my jeans; edgy and trendy.

Do Not Buy
I bought these in the summer for the sale, I’ve worn them starting in October. Both of the boots at the bottom have split and you can see the bottom of the shoe. I wear these to work and occasionally outside of work. After 2-3 months of wear, they shouldn’t be falling apart like this. Waste of money.

Nice, casual boot
Bought as winter casual boots. Roomy enough for thick boot socks without pinching and nice flex to the material. Only downside is the laces are a bit too long and don't stay tied well.
