    Needed shoes with wide toe box - bunions on both sides of foot, are relatively flat slightly shifting weigh to the back heel instead of forefoot - great for bad spines and morton's issue, keeps the heel steady and secure and doesn't allow the foot to shift outward as one walks. I've found it the perfect shoe for those issues.

    Solid pair of waterproof runners with a little extra traction. Wides are actually wide but if you need Extra Wide these might be a squeeze. Lacked support that I need to I upgraded the insole.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am 185 Lbs. 5'11" 73 year old man who hikes 10 to 18 miles a week with elevations from 400 to 1200 feet. I need a wide shoe because I have a large big toe and joint. I've worn these shoes around the house a few days before deciding to keep them. I've only put 12 miles on them so far. The Apex wide has a little extra room in the toe box but I had to go up an extra 1/2 size. They are light weight with a fair amount of cushion. they are simple to lace up because they have fewer eyelets, but this also means they may not snug up on your feet as well. There's no grab loop on the heel to help putting them on. . For me the heel box seemed too big and I had to work with the laces to keep my heel from moving. The jury is still out whether I would buy them again
