Great but cloth stitching is not durable
I really like Keen footwear and have really enjoyed these sandals. Unfortunately after a year, the stitching on the outside ankle area is coming undone and this is slowly but surely ripping the sandals apart. It is a shame because the soles are in great condition and the sandals would hsve held up for a numer of years. I cant complain because I've the time I've gotten out of them, but I think I would try something without cloth stitching if you want something durable.

My Go-To Adventure Sandals!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my Keen Newport H2 Sandals. They’re hands-down the most versatile footwear I own. Whether I’m hiking, kayaking, or just walking around town, these sandals deliver on all fronts.
• Comfort: From the first wear, they felt broken-in. The cushioning and arch support are excellent, even on long treks.
• Water-Friendly: I can go in and out of water without ever needing to take them off. They dry quickly and never feel soggy or heavy.
• Durability: These things are built like tanks. No damage, no wear issues—even after repeated exposure to water, sand, and rough terrain.
• Toe Protection: One of my favorite features. The rubber toe cap gives me peace of mind when I’m on rocky trails or in unpredictable environments.
If you’re looking for a sandal that can handle real adventure without sacrificing comfort or protection, the Newport H2 is it.

Classy
I wore out a pair of Newports. The footbed supoort is the best of any footwear i own, i can stand for hours. So i had to have another, my favorite retail outlet only had a few models, but i discovered this black on black on black treasure in the online store. Best possible combo of comfort and classy footwear for hours of standing in church.

If you have foot drop, you NEED these.
I have foot drop, and I am CONSTANTLY breaking my toes. Super painful, but over the last 9 years I have learned there is one way to protect myself FROM myself.
These are the solution. I can stub my toes, drag them, doesnt matter. THIS IS TOTAL PROTECTION. I wore them before I got hurt because I loved them, I wear them now because nothing else keeps me from busting toes. You can literally kick rocks with these on and come out clean.
Could not recommend anything as highly as these.

Fit varies by shoe color
I purchased now 5 pairs of Keen's NewPort H2s and I can definitively conclude that their fit (and texture) varies with the color of the shoe.
Specifically, the Navy/Medium Grey colored H2 Newport H2 fits my feet comfortably and have a softer texture from first use. (I now have 3 pairs of this color. One purchased in 2019 and 2 in 2025)
The Magnet/Tie Dye colored H2 Newport H2 (purchased 2024) fits quite uncomfortably. I no longer wear this shoe as it abrades my great toes. They have never "broken in" despite several months of intermittent wear.
The Triple Black colored H2 Newport H2 fits less comfortably and has a harder texture. (Purchased 2025). Time will tell if they "break in". I suspect not.
I initially thought I was crazy, but having tested this against 5 pairs of shoes including three of of the same (comfortable) color, I can conclude with reasonable certainty that there is variation of fit/texture based on product color.
Overall, I still endorse the product, but I would suggest that one does not assume that the feel of the shoe will be consistent across colors. Try before you buy.

Beefy
Seemed to have beefed up construction somewhat, but what used to fit perfectly is now small.
Suggest sizing up 1/2 size or more.

I have worn Keen sandals
I have worn Keen sandals for many years. It is all I wear. I don’t wear shoes anymore. I suspect I will be wearing them when they carry me out feet first!
