Keen KS86 Trail Shoe - Women's

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 4th pair of Keens shoes, my 2nd of this particular style. I do a lot of walking at work and have found this sneaked to be very comfortable. The toe box is roomy but not overly so, just enough so my toes don’t feel cramped like they sometimes do in other brands. I’ve had pretty severe Plantar Fasciitis in the past but have no issues at all with these shoes. I will most likely grab another pair next time they’re on sale.

Bought the exact same pair of Keen Woman’s KS86 Sneaker in Sky Captain/Birch size 6. October 2, 2025 and April 2, 2026. Noticeable(!!!) difference in the toe box (much smaller in ‘26), slightly narrower (26), missing that helpful heel tab (26), and not as waterproof as the ‘25 or just for a shorter timespan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are soo comfortable and look great! They are a nice upgrade from plain tennis shoes and have a little flair!

But run wide. Very durable with cool cooled. Would like a bit more supportive and thicker insole

I normally wear 9. 5 to 10 I purchased a 9. 5 and it is a perfect fit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only wear Keens for work, I’m walking on concrete all day at a fast pace and need support. I love my heavy duty hiking keens because of the support, that being said I was a little worried about this new shoes because they’re lighter but I was able to try a different color in a local retail store and I thought to give it a try. I’m wide but order regular, I wear size 9 but they were a little big so I ordered a size 8 1/2; I absolutely love the look, colors fabric and design. After wearing them at home for a few hours the width was fine and it was just a bit tight only on one foot (obviously me!, not the shoe). I wore them to work and they were great!!! Nice support and very comfortable but they are to pretty to ruin them at work!!! lol!! I’ll wear them to go out. =)

The KS86 used to be my mom's favorite product that KEEN made. However, the decision was made in the newer versions to remove the loop at the back of the shoe. This can be seen in the product pictures on the website. What this means is that the shoe is now harder to put on, which can significantly affect the wearability for folks with mobility issues. I sincerely hope that KEEN decides to return the loop to this shoe, so that my mom and others like her can enjoy the newest colors.

I bought the KS86s after coming to the store to try on the hightrails for hiking and they rubbed the crap outta my foot. I wasn’t in the market for a new sneaker and needed hiking shoes but ended up taking these home instead because they were so much more comfy than the hightrails. They are wide enough that they don’t hurt my bunions and have a nice amount of arch support without it being overkill. I have worn them for many miles and they don’t feel like they’ve worn out in the slightest yet. I have them in the Birch/Star White color. Would love to see that same color way with a contrasting K in the same color as the sole, and just some more feminine color ways like some of the hightrails would be cool too.
