Journee Scylee Pump

I purchased these pumps in the metallic silver color to use for my formal events. I was fortunate to find them on sale so they were a great value. I found the color to be a pleasing matte silver color, not too shiny, so they should go well with most of my full length gowns and my matte silver clutch. They’re a pretty basic pump style, nothing fancy or unique. I found them fairly comfortable with a padded insole. The heel height is just right for formal wear— not too high but high enough to be elegant. The other thing to note is that the bottom soles are smooth and not too rubbery – although they’re not leather soles or true dance shoes, I think they may still be slippery enough fir social dancing (as opposed to other shoes that might have a more grippy sole.) I normally wear a size 8 in most shoes but in this style I found the size 8 1/2 to be more comfortable. I have a narrow foot, and these are a tiny bit wide through the arch area but not enough to gape on my foot. I’m not sure how long the finish will hold up since they are man-made and have a metallic coating, but they are fine for occasional use.

These pumps are very cute but run narrow at the toes. I wear an 8, ordered an 8 and I am not able to wear for more than a couple of minutes. Worried if I size up they would be too big.

It's comfortable, looks good, and seems well-made. I've only worn them once so far. My only complaint is that my normal size seemed slightly big in this shoe. Not big enough to want to return them, but I'll have to walk a little bit carefully I guess. Maybe I can pad the heel a bit?
