JEMS by PENSOLE’s inaugural shoe is hand-crafted at the first Black-owned athletic footwear factory in the US. The design is a tribute to JEMS namesake, Jan Ernst Matzeliger, a Black Dutch immigrant who in 1883 patented a technology still used in footwear manufacturing today. Designed by JEMS founder, the legendary Dr. D’Wayne Edwards, fine detail on the premium leather sneaker pays homage to Jan’s life.

Well made Leather Sneakers

These white leather sneakers appear to be well-made, run to size and are cushioned and comfortable. They also have a unique, stylish and colorful design with a good gripping and history setting outer sole. I have found these shoes to be a good addition to my shoes.

These shoes are a statement piece all by themselves. The craftsmanship is remarkable and the design is so artistic. I got these for a Father’s Day present and my guy says they are absolutely comfortable as well.

May not be for everyone. Mix of matte & glossy look. Little out there different color soles and laces but overall well made shoes. Nice quality Materials
