Holes in toe seam

I have purchased these shoes now twice. After a handful of wears, there are holes around the toe seam. And because of the light up function, they need to be thrown them in electronics trash.

I recently bought my granddaughter Frozen light up sneakers and she loved them. However the bottoms were clearly used and i couldnt return them since she would be disappointed to send them back. Why would you send shoes with dirty bottoms for full price??
