I bought these for my son to dress up but still be able to wear say to day because they are super cute but unfortunately the ankle part is too narrow and my sons foot would not go into it

These are adorable and my son loved them the second they came out of the box. Unfortunately, even in the correct size, they were nearly impossible to get on. Sending them back and getting one size up which I fear will be too big and clunky for him to walk in, but will try since they're so cute!
