Too wide at the top for me

The listing said they were dark green, which would make them way more interesting but they are black. The top veers out too much so the line with pants or skirts is awkward. (and I have big calves). They are going back. The heel and lug are perfect. They might work for someone else.

Surprisingly high quality!

Bought these on super-clearance in anticipation of another cold Montana winter in six months...so happy to see them online for so cheap. The green sole is cute and more netural in-person than they look online. I'm happy to report the toe is a true "almond" shape (not rounded, which looks stupid on my very small feet). The leather is flexible, the boot is lighter than expected in weight. It's also lined with a soft low-pile fleece. Excited to put these through the wringer this winter.

Update to prior review: I'm a size 6.5, ordered the 7's and thought they were too big. Not just too big, but looked clunky, sloppy & like clown shoes! (they are a heavy, block style boot as it is). Rec'd the size 6. Happy to report that these boots take on a whole new aura in the 'correct' size and are super hot, super comfortable.
Straight out of the box they have that brand new stiff feel. But I walked around the house in them and before I even realized it, they had already stretched out a bit and felt fine. Wore them to run errands on Dec 24th - yeah, hectic day - wore them for hours and not one complaint. By the EOD they were even MORE comfortable.
I noticed there were a few reviewers who rated these as 'running narrow.' I suppose if you have a wide foot, perhaps they do. IMO, these are very standard width, so make your own call. If anything, they are roomy.
Don't forget to treat these with waterproof spray! They are too nice of a leather to have ruined. :-) you're welcome... lol

Stylish & Warm

Ordered the green trim soles with some trepidation that they wouldn't look strange in RL, or whether they could be an everyday type boot. Happy to report these are SO VOGUE. They look GREAT with a black coat to break up that monotone. Adds a bit of flare instead of just solid black. Looks good with multicolored outfits, olive, of course, red, tan, black, navy. I like the platform to keep me out of the puddles. I ordered these during a 6-day rain forecast. It had just RAINED nonstop, but was cold. None of my rain boots were isolated enough to deal with the chilly weather. "Clearance" is also always an inspiration!
SIZE: They may run on the 'Roomy' side. Bummer for those who are half-sizes. It's always a heads or tails toss up. I'm a 6.5, ordered the size 7. They are enormous even with thick socks. I slide around in them. I'm avg foot width. Not wide, not narrow and typically if a shoe does come in a half size, 6.5 is a sure bet.
So, I'd say that if you are a standard size, you order that size most of the time, go for that. If you are a half size, but not real wide foot, size down. It'll save you the aggravation of having to order another size and wait to return one or the other. Sadly, the 7s are just too big for me to keep and I will return. Also, these are leather and will give and stretch a bit.
But - they are super nice Cougar quality boots.
