Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Low-Top Sneaker

"Chucks" are THE quintessential American sneaker. I've been wearing them for 40 years and they never disappoint. I always have a hard time deciding on a color but went with classic black low-tops this time for Spring/Summer.

I love all my Converse shoes! I own a toy store and I’m on my feet all day. Wearing fun colors every day combined with comfort makes me happy which is very important since toy stores are happy environments. However, the last purchase I made I bought down a size as suggested by Converse.(I wasn’t wearing any at the time to check the size I usually wear). I’m a 6.5 WOMENS. I have always purchased a 6.5. But I got a 6 for this particular order because the listing says they run big. They do not. The 6 fits but it’s a tighter fit than I enjoy. I will go back to my true size for the next pair. I don’t wear socks with my Converse. Those that do would definitely have issue with your sizing suggestion. Overall though, I’m bc a happy customer. I felt this was important to share so others might want to seriously consider when making their purchase.

These look and fit great. I replaced the factory shoelaces with white elastic ones like I have on all my other pairs of Converse shoes.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The drop in quality between these new Chuck Taylors and my older pairs is absolutely staggering. It is painfully obvious that Nike corporate is cutting corners to squeeze out a few extra pennies of profit, completely ruining a classic sneaker in the process. The most glaring issue is the sole. The tread depth is noticeably shallower than older models. Because the grooves aren't nearly as deep, the sole wears out completely flat in record time. It's unacceptable for a shoe that used to last for years. Beyond just the sole, it's clear you are using significantly less rubber throughout the entire construction of the sneaker. They feel flimsy, lightweight in a bad way, and incredibly cheap. To Nike/Converse Corporate: Stop cheaping out on your loyal customers. You took a legendary, durable shoe and turned it into fast-fashion garbage. Bring back the original quality. I will not be buying another pair until this is fixed.

These black low-top Converse All Stars are a classic for a reason. Clean, simple, and they go with literally everything. Super comfortable right out of the box and easy to dress up or down. Whether I’m running around all day or just throwing them on for a casual fit, they never miss. Timeless style that never goes out of fashion.

These were my go to shoe for over 30 years; walking at Disney for hours, no problem, in the snow, sure. But converse changed them and they're just terrible. I dont know why they thought a man-made material was better than the classic canvas, but its not. The fit is off and they don't breathe like they used to. Sadly, these are going back and I'm on the hunt for a new everyday shoe.

Compared to my older pairs, this new set feels completely "less"—lighter, flimsier, and lacking the rugged durability I expect. The most glaring issue is the rubber. The construction feels hollowed out. The sidewalls are thinner, and the toe cap feels pliable rather than protective. Worse yet is the tread depth. Right out of the box, the traction pattern is noticeably shallower and less thick than even my worn-in pairs. It’s clear they are using significantly less rubber to cut costs, which means these soles will wear smooth in record time. It feels like shrinkflation: paying full price for a product that has been stripped of its substance. If you’re looking for the classic, heavy-duty Chucks of the past, these aren’t them. Buyer beware—you are getting a lot less shoe for your money.
