Double rubber toe area a good choice

Have been buying a few different styles of Carhartt 6inch work boots over the years. Some with and some without the composite toe. (steel toe are not required for me and will only make your toes freeze during the winter months up here in the northeast). I tried them on and purchased these originally from a box store and liked them immediately and so much that I bought direct from Carhartt. These force HD boots give added strength and protection on the toe which you can see have double rubber protection which is where my older boots began to break down. They come with exceptional shoe laces as well.

Broken while lacing them up for the first time.

Bought these boots, and one of the top lace hooks snapped off at the rivet while lacing them up the first time. I'd send them back for unbroken ones but I don't have that luxury, I need boots to wear now. It's not the end of the world, they're still wearable but it doesn't bode well for how long til the rest starts falling apart. They are comfortable, and warm though.
No, I do not recommend this product.
