Brooks Defyance Max Running Shoe - Men's

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Defyance Max being a little cautious, since I am a loyal Ghost Max fan. I was wrong, this shoe is phenomenal, a premium shoe with a budget friendly price. As soon I tried them on they fit right, even much better than the glycerin 22s I was wearing at the time. The shoe is comfortable and light, no pain on my feet at all. They even feel better on my feet than some of my ghost max 3s that I have. With GM3 I had to go a full size up, with the DM I bought my regular size and have plenty of room in the toe box. Definitely a shoe worth buying.

I have enjoying ruuning in this pair. First time in this model. Doe not appear to be as durable as the Ghos t, the overall it is a solid choice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Generally love these shoes. When you’re hitting 40+ and more of a casual mover looking to get more active, you need a little extra cushion. These have the perfect amount for giving you that springy movement needed without looking like platform shoes. I grabbed the olive green version, and they are very visually appealing for for training, casual, even business casual occasions where a lot of walking is involved (conferences, site visits/tours).

I got these for my husband for work and he loves them!! He’s a nurse who stands on his feet for 12 hours a day and his feet don’t even hurt at the end! We are both huge fans of our brooks and will continue to buy their shoes!

Disclaimer: I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. First off, I do not consider myself a runner. I received these with the sole purpose of using them on a daily basis as a nurse. I am constantly on my feet, so I am always on the lookout for comfortable shoes that don’t hurt my feet. I have high arches and have dealt with plantar fasciitis in the past…not a pleasant experience. I do have custom orthotics that are in other shoes. I decided to try these out for one month without any inserts and let me tell you, I have not had any pain with my feet. I have been looking into getting a second pair to use outside of work because of how comfortable they are and because of how much I have like them. The soles seem to wear slowly, which is great. I was replacing shoes about every 4-6 months due to them wearing out. I am a big guy, 6’3” and 240 lbs. After one month of wearing exclusively at work, they still feel amazing on my feet! The break in time was almost nonexistent. My only complaint is that I like shoes that have something on the back to help with pulling the shoe up over my heel and these do not have anything to grab onto. This is the only reason I gave it 4-stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are awesome! They fit perfect, snug fit but open toe box. I have worn them for over a month now. I’m on my feet all day every day and I am never fatigued. Big improvement from my last pair of work sneakers from a different brand. At work I’m often in weird or strenuous positions. They flex with me and provide tons of support. The style grew on me quite a bit. I got white and I have to say I’m not really in love with white. The white mesh fabric easily shows any scuffs but I bet that is not a problem if you go with the black. I demand a lot out of my shoes at work. They are scuffed, rubbed and hit often and for the lightweight mesh on top I thought they would fray easily but they have shown no signs of wear at all. I love these shoes and will continue to wear them, my only thing is the color mixed with that mesh material makes em scuff kind of easy. Overall great shoe for work or play!
