    After much research and consideration, I finally purchased these Birks with birthday money (so I could justify the expense). All of the reviews I read said that these were great shoes and people could wear them for hours without foot pain. So I decided to try them. Happy to report that they are awesome! I wore them all day without socks on a cool fall day and they were fantastic. My feet weren't sore at all (from plantar fasciitis). I think they are also kind of cool looking- I have them in white. I would highly recommend and I'm so glad I tried them out. This is my 5th pair of Birks and they are the best.
