The ankle is so tight that is so difficult to get your foot in. It is a plastic like material that does not give and hurts your ankle. I have another pair of bare traps from a few years ago and love them, but these are terrible.

I'd recommend thicker socks for these boots as previous reviewers have mentioned the ankle bone discomfort. Ignoring that one point, these boots are overall comfortable and are suitable for mild winters only.

Bought these for my high schooler and she really likes them. We were at the mall recently and both liked these more than anything we saw there in that general style. Did need to order a 1/2 size larger.

I bought these last fall (2022) and honestly they were the most uncomfortable boot I have ever worn. They are SO cute but the hard material in the heel cut into my ankles so badly that I was unable to wear them. Sadly (for my wallet) I never got around to returning them-my fault for procrastinating. Hoping one of my granddaughters will find them more comfortable than I did.

I love my current pair of Baretrap boots but they are pretty worn out. I got these as they were simple and looked like they would fit the bill. The plastic heel piece was so uncomfortable. Sadly they were an immediate return

Sometimes one needs a boot for warmth but the snow isn't deep so my Kamik's are too much. This boot is warm and dressy enough for almost any occasion. I have room for heavy socks, if needed. I love the color and the details. I recommend water-profing them.
