Reliable brand

Bought these as a replacement pair for my husband -- his usual brand/style -- who runs regularly. He likes the Asics though they often develop a hole in the toe. Hopefully these will hold up ok.

These running shoes are excellent! I got them for my husband after he kept injuring his calves jogging with his old workout sneakers. These are very light and comfortable and help him maintain a proper gait on the treadmill.

Much improved over previous models

I had the Asics GT1000 11 and 12. I thought that both were okay. Asics redesigned the shoe with the 13 and has improved it dramatically. It is one of the most comfortable sneakers I have ever worn. It is light and has a very soft sole.

I buy the GT-1000's regularly, usually from Asics directly, as my every day wearing sneaker. I have flat arches, and these provide stability and comfort. This color was on clearance for a good price, and with rewards, it was a no-brainer purchase.
