RUN - away from these boots

I tried these with thick hiking socks versus my Lowas which are a little tight in the toe box, and while I liked the room in the toe box, the metal hook backs digging into my ankle were no lie. It's not just the hook backs, it's the way the collar is constructed in this particular model. It might be ok for a quick try-on at the store, but there's no way you want to wear these for more than a few minutes.
