Great sturdy boot

I bought these to wear fixing up my VERY fixer-upper house, specifically for the toe protection and waterproof features. I’m normally a flip-flops sorta gal so any workboot is going to feel stiff and somewhat constraining but these are, dare I say, comfortable! Like run errands without stopping to change out of them comfy. Still not flip flop comfy but that’s why I called them “Great” not “magical” ;-)

Composite or steel

I bought this boot because my company has metal detectors and I don't want to have to remove my shoes. The toes set off the metal detectors! So much for composite. I use a support sole and thicker socks for my size 11 kind-of-narrow feet. They're very comfortable but who wants to go through all of that unlacing and relacing 4 - 6 times a day?

Boo! Typical bad women’s work boot.

I almost gave these two stars, you have to give any women’s safety toe credit for existing, but that’s all. If all you want is a leather EH safety toe in a woman’s size, they are fine. If you actually stand all day in them, they are not good, but they are about the same as most women’s safety shoes, which is bad. I only gave these a shot because Thorogood stopped making my favorite shoe and I figured I might as well try these and get the points and beach towel gift. They are average for a women’s safety shoe. Unfortunately, since most women’s safety shoes are terrible, these are pretty bad. The workmanship is pretty lousy to boot.

These look pretty hip for a work boot. Not overly heavy or clunky to walk in but your feet feel safe and protected. I'll be wearing a thicker sock with these though.

Great Boot!

I love my Wolverine Work Boot. The fit is true to size, the leather is strong but not too stiff (easy break-in for comfort) the inside is well padded, insulated and structured for comfort and support. The steel toe is perfect for when I am at the barn around 1500 pound horses who don't always watch where they put their feet. I feel comfortable walking around all day in these whether I am working in a barn, hiking on a trail and walking through city streets. I highly recommend them.
