So disappointed

I purchased two of these umbrellas to replace the previous totes clear dome model i had. I am really disappointed in the quality of the plastic. It is a lot thinner than the one i had and it leaks. I used it out in a storm yesterday and i felt water coming through the top and hitting the top of my shoulder and neck. I really think that totes should go back to using their original plastic material. It was stronger and sturdier.

I had mine shipped (I hadn't read the reviews here) and it came in a hard round tube so it was well protected.
Everything was great. Opened fine.
The umbrella was a bit cloudy, but I believe it's like a powder to prevent it all from sticking together when closed. It rubs off easily.
The only thing that took me by surprise - and it probably shouldn't have lol - was how long it is. It's 37" (just over 3ft). The handle comes up to my hip (I'm 5'6").
So it'll be great to use in bad weather...but not great to carry around when closed. Which is fine for me.

I received a cloudy, dusty umbrella and with four of the tips detached. Waited until today to use it and I’m past the return window. No quality control - the umbrella I received was either previously used or is over a decade old, sat & collected dust. Waste of money.

The concept of a bubble umbrella is great. Just don’t buy one from DSW online. As others warned in their reviews, this won’t come in a box. Mine arrived wrapped in plastic, with both ends breaking through. To add insult to injury, the umbrella wouldn’t even open. Then the agent wanted me to find a box to ship it back in. If you must, buy this in store, where you can see if it opens.

I ordered this in clear and i received the iridescent tote umbrella. Very disappointed as i was looking forward to it and the packaging was not good. I have to go to DSW now and return it :(
