Perfect in style - not so much in the ankle

I wanted to love these. I love the look of them and all the details. I love that there's so much toe room and the height of the heel. The ankle was just so stiff and cut into my skin. I'm not sure if they just needed to be severely broken in or what the issue what the material was, but it hurt my ankle too much the way the stiff bottom of the boot was structured.
