TAFT Rome Boot

I really love the look and feel of these boots, as do many others, evident by the numerous compliments I receive. I am however, a little concerned about the finish. I've had them for four months now and have only worn them 2-3 times each month yet they seem to be developing very visible cracks which I hope is only in the finish and not the actual leather. I'll apply some leather salve and see how they look afterwards. This is one of 4 pair of Taft boots I now own. I certainly look forward to more.

Not only do these boots fit perfectly on my size 13 feet, they are strikingly, beautiful. When I lace them up, and take them for a spin, it feels like all is right with the world!

The boots look very nice. The only issue I have and I hope will be resolved over time, is the top of the boot is very stiff and without a thicker sock would be unwearable for any length of time. I hope they "relax" after some use.

The quality seems less than 3 years ago when I bought the Paris Noir (same boot changed names) The shoes from 3 years ago had leather soles instead of the plastic in these new ones, and the current leather feels thinner and a bit like cardboard now. The pair that was sent to me had a painful fold in the padding of the shoe so its been replaced. That replacement service has gone well but I am still waiting on my replacements. It was also smaller across the instep so I have ordered a half size up.

I own 10+ Taft’s now and these are probably the comfiest I have purchased. Not sure if they changed their sole for all styles or just this one but I wish it were in all my boots. Really like this boot as an everyday. The one thing I will say is the boot is more of a brown than a “light brown”.

Taft can do no wrong. The style, craftsmanship and quality is unmatched. I have these in the Honey color and had to get em in black. I wear a size 14 so I get lots of compliments when I wear any of my Taft creations. I will continue to be a customer of Taft clothing

These are simply my favorite boots ever. I've now owned them in the Heritage leather in brown twice. I wore my first pair out and eventually ruined them in a bad rain storm. My wife bought me a new pair for Christmas and I remember why I loved them so much. Perfect color and style, yet comfortable to be an everyday office shoe with business casual.
