Sizing off

Just received two pairs of these booties. I had high hopes as I liked the color, simple design, and the wide option. I ordered my usual size 9, and a half size up in case for thicker socks. Both were too small, with thin socks, in fact the one that was supposed to be a half size larger is actually smaller than the 9!? I held them up side by side to check. Not sure I will try a 10 (have never worn a 10!), but they look like nice boots. Nice green suede color.
